Good afternoon everyone,
This last season was one of the best in FME Little League history and its exciting to see the participation in baseball and softball in our community grow every season.
Sunday, September 28 is the FMELL General Session Meeting at the Milton Library (Safeway parking lot) starting at 6pm. Enter the library from the back entrance of the building.
This is an important meeting as we are needing more volunteers for this upcoming season. We have an amazing board that has worked very well together the last few years, however, many previous board members have kids that are too old for FMELL this year.
We will have a number of holes in the volunteer board this upcoming season. You don't have to be an expert at baseball or softball to volunteer - just care about kids and have a willingness to share your talents with the community......and, you earn a discount for your child's registration by volunteering on the board.
Wondering what you could offer as a volunteer? Please know everyone is capable of almost every role on the volunteer board.
There is typically one board meeting per month and some email communication at different times of the season when we need to talk more.
We will have a good amount of board members returning but will need to try and fill in 5-6 positions this off season.

Congratulations to the following boys who have been selected to compete on the FME 11/12 All Star team. FME will merge with Soundview Little League this season to compete together in the 11/12 Little League District 10 Tournament.
Bryce Jacobsen, Jaxon Burns, Christian Aguillar, Zack Storem, Brian Ours and Devin Fuchs will be the six FME players to go with seven players from Soundview Little League.
Jim Jacobsen and Larry Burns will be two of the coaches on the team with the Soundview coach as the Manager.

Congratulations to the FME AA Falcons for winning this weekends FME AA Baseball Tournament at Dacca. It was a fun weekend of baseball for these boys and a great cap off to a tremendous season at the AA level. By winning the Tournament, the Falcons finished the season undefeated. Thank you for everyone who helped put on the tournament and for all of our volunteer coaches that stepped up and made this a great season.

Thank you in advance for supporting our first ever FME Little League Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Louie G's Pizza! This will become an annual fundraiser that will help the league continuously invest in upgrading the facilities and equipment our kids use in our growing baseball community.
Great prizes for those who participate in selling a minumum of four (4) all-you-can-eat dinner tickets, including prize drawings of a Free Great Wolf Lodge Stay for four, Free Premium Seattle Mariners seats (four tickets), Free Wild Waves Water Park passes and many more prizes throughout the night.
It only takes four $10 dinner tickets for your family to be eligible to win these prizes, and its a wonderful community gathering event that your family will enjoy....and 100% of the proceeds go straight to FME Little League!!!
An email with more details was sent out to every family in the league, and in the next couple of days your team coaches will be passing out tickets for your players to sell. The tickets are being sold for $10 each, which includes all-you-can eat spaghetti and soda. We are asking that each player sell four tickets.
The Spaghetti Dinner and Auction is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2014 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. This is the day and time that Louie G.'s had available. We understand that this is also a game night for many of our players, which accounts for the length of the dinner. We are expecting a constant flow of players and families throughout the event.
It will be an evening filled with lots of fun and festivities including our own DJ! We will also have raffles and auctions throughout the event. A schedule of items to be auctioned and raffled will be posted in days to come.

It's with excitement that we announce the beginning of the 2014 FME Little League All Star selection process.
Little League All Stars is one of the great memories boys and girls get to experience in their baseball and softball playing days and this year should be no exception. While the tournament teams won't be announced until two weeks prior to each tournament start date, the league needs to collect all player/parent consideration/commitment letters by Tuesday, May 12 2014 to begin the process.
We encourage everyone to complete All Star consideration/commitment letter and turn it in to your regular season manager by the Tuesday, May 12 2014 deadline. We want to try and get as many kids to participate as possible to experience this great Little League event, and to give FME Little League the best change to compete in each age bracket.
For those of you unfamiliar with Little League All Stars, each league (FME, Auburn, Mercer Island etc) in the United States assembles three different All Star teams for both boys and girls that then compete in Little League All Star Tournaments. The age divisions are broken down to 9/10, 10/11 and 11/12 All Stars for both boys and girls. Each league then competes at the District level with the tournament winner advancing to the State level and then so on based on success.
We encourage you to check out the FMELL Facebook page to see the great memories that were created last year. There were even newspaper articles celebrating our kids accomplishments which created an amazing buzz around our community and in the schools.
FMELL will once again try and assemble the most competitive teams at each age division to compete for District titles.
The tournament start dates are on the attached consideration/commitment letter and vary by age bracket. Each All Star team will practice daily for two weeks leading up to the tournament to get ready to compete our best in the District Tournament.
It is a great honor to be selected to a Little League All Star team and we hope your son or daughter will have the chance to be considered by returning the attached form by the deadline. We believe every player in our league has unique talents and should be considered and will be given a fair consideration if a letter is turned in by the deadline.
FME had one of its best All Star performing seasons in 2013! With amazing hard work by everyone and great coaching on all levels, FME fielded very competitive teams in the boys 9/10, 10/11, 11/12 and girls 9/10 divisions.
The 9/10 boys team advanced to the District 10 championship game and lost the two-game championship series to Kent LL in very close games.
The 10/11 boys showed outstanding resolve and competitiveness playing against two very high-powered teams.
Our 11/12 boys team interlocked with Chinook LL this season and won two tournament games before finally getting knocked out in the quarterfinals.
Our 9/10 fastpitch squad played two high-scoring games that were amazingly entertaining, but just fell short in both games.
We're excited to keep advancing the skills of our ballplayers in FME Little League to be even more competiive in District 10 All Stars. Great job to everyone!
